For ChatGPT users who write code

Rough request in. Reviewable brief out.

ChatGPT can implement a task once it knows the constraints, edge cases, and definition of done. This page is about the step before the answer: turning your request into a brief you can inspect.

The problem is not wording

Most prompt enhancers make requests longer or more polite. That does not add missing decisions. A useful brief preserves your intent, makes assumptions explicit, adds acceptance criteria, and stops before it answers the task.

What you review

  • A line-level diff from your words to the brief.
  • The length delta, so padding is visible.
  • A short explanation of what changed and why.
  • Apply, copy, reject, and undo controls.

What it does not do

  • It does not invent libraries or versions.
  • It does not answer your task for you.
  • It does not keep a server-side prompt history.
  • It does not apply anything until you accept it.
